'09 MESA Award Ceremony Seniors
This year the Imperial Valley MESA Program had numerous seniors maintain a 3.0 gpa or above. For the seniors who did, they were given a certificate and a sash to wear to their graduation.
Central Union High School: Irene Angulo, Marissa Borbon, Mary Hayes, Julio Hernandez, Elizabeth Lopez, Luis Martinez, Ivette Montano, Stewart Namao, & Jaseyny Velazco.
Calexico High School: Martin Perez, Daniel Ayala, Miguel Lon, Erik Gallegos, Gina Lee, Marcela Zhou, Julie Wu, and Linda Wong.
Brawley Union High School: Christian Servera.
Imperial High School: Desirey Garcia, Marie Tabarez, Jennifer Bayardo, Katrina Tomas, Elisa Fernandez, Arilene Godoy, Anthony Ponce, Stephanie Jaban.
'09 MESA Award Ceremony Senior Scholarships
This year the Imperial Valley MESA Program was able to award eleven lucky MESA students with a scholarship.
The students who were awarded a $250 scholarship were Stewart Namao, Laurena Aguilar, and David Valenzuela.
The students who were awarded a $500 scholarship were Erik Gallegos, Christian Servera, Irene Angulo, and Katrina Tomas.
The students who were awarded a $1000 scholarship were Luis Martinez, Daniel Ayala, Miguel Leon, and Julio Hernandez.
